I ended up on an NT700VA. It doesn't have the fantastic motor of the ST and is quite slow for a bike, but doesn't cook you, is very quiet and comfortable at any speed it can achieve, and rock solid stable. It's a good touring bike for the rider who doesn't need a rocket.

Would that be the car quest premium 85372? I've always been a motorcraft guy, but liked them better when they were $3.50 and were painted nice. The new ones look way cheaper. I just picked one up for my '25 explorer - $13 from Ford!

Probably the best bike I ever had. I had two, loved them. Helibars and an RDL made for easy 300 mile tanks, no breaks necessary. 0 vibration and great thrust from 2-8k rpm. Great balance and superb low speed manners . A real shame Honda didn't do a very light update on that platform. I moved...

Thanks for all the input. I will succumb to my insanity and run 5w-30 synthetic. I hadn't considered restore and protect, but if it gets the bitog seal of approval, maybe I'll run it for a couple 1 year changes, then switch to whatever the "better" flavor of the day synthetic is then. I'm...

Good info, thanks. My kids put the skinny middle seatbelt into the driver's buckle, I then scooched over it and cracked the red plastic button. Not sure if that can be replaced...

I believe it's two mgb four cylinders in parallel, their cranks joint by a toothed wet belt. Replacing the belt probably requires full rebuild by a blind, British specialty mechanic who works only by feel.

I waited a while, and jumped on it. Car has a few gremlins that need restoration, but overall a rust-free nonfleet L is a unicorn at this mileage. My last one was white/tan, this one is black/tan. I loved the white, but there's slim pickings these days.

I hope to drive this car for 50 years, should I be lucky enough to last that long and still be able to see and drive. Thanks for the input everyone, feel free to keep it coming.

Definitely 4T. I used the V-twin 20w-50 in my Harley engine Buell and my Harleys, and found it fantastic. The M1 V-twin is the only oil change where I ever felt/heard an engine run noticable quieter/better after an oil change.

Hello all, Recently picked up my second Lincoln Town Car, a 2009 Signature L. This will be my 3 season car in central/northern NY. The car will be put up from the first snow/salt until the roads clear in spring. Expected temps 30°F to 100°F. This car has 74,500ish miles on it and is in quite...

Thanks, I no longer have the bike but have switched to 5k regardless of time on my current bikes. ST1300s are the camrys of motorcycling, many out there with many hundreds of thousands of miles on 10k mile ocis.

Bike was ridden fairly hard for those miles. I changed it due to being spooked by 2 years.
