    Black "goo" on copper

What would a fluoride base cleaner be? Meaning a name of such cleaner and a possible place to buy said material?

    Black "goo" on copper

No, not sure how those two would work, if used together would cancel each other due to the vinegar being acid and the baking soda being a base.

    Black "goo" on copper

This material is by itself. I believe the goo is out there by the manufacturing process

    Black "goo" on copper

I have a copper material that has a black "goo" on it. I have sent a sample into a material lab and the information comes back as a carbon, oxygen, silicone material. I have used mineral spirits on it and that removes maybe 70% of the goo but not all and then the spirits are full and no more...

    Mineral spirits filtering

Ya, as of today, 2 weeks, finally some of the goo settled. The pour off was about a 1/4 cup of good stuff from maybe 10 cups before the goo started to travel into the pour.

    Mineral spirits filtering

Are you absolutely sure? This stuff is not paint. It is more of an oily goo. Somewhat like the goo at the bottom of an oil pan from an engine which did not get any oil changes regularly
