I have looked everywhere for the Penzoil Synthetic 5W20 (Grey bottle with handle) and can not find it... who carries it?

Can Redline D4 ATF be used in Ford transmissions that use Mercon V? The oil specs do not specifically mention Mercon V grade. -- Carlos Morillo Marietta, GA

That's what Ford recommends... besides, the engine feels different now that I'm running M1 5W30 A good quality 5W20 (Motorcraft seems to be getting pretty good reviews) and 3k change intervals should do.

Sorry about the repost, must be the back button. What is the oil service interval for your Ford engine? I ask because a lot of people do not think that 5W20 can last 5000 miles, especially when used in hi-rev 4cyl engines. Maybe syn. 5W20 @ 3k miles is a good compromise

In its 0w30 flavor seems to have the same specs as the Castrol SLX sold everywhere else... Could it just be the same product? I don't believe we'll se the SLX product branded as such in the US; Castrol is marketing their Syntec line as their top of the line oil so why introduce a new product...
