Pep Boys has Castrol Edge. What is it?

RE: Edge: It's been awhile since I've regularly visited this site. But if my memory serves me correctly, we went thru a bit of a concern when we had 2 types of Castrol 0W30 a few years ago. One, "Not for sale outside North America" the other said "Made in West Germany"..Castrol Green(?)... same...

Pep Boys has Castrol Edge. What is it?

Here in Indianapolis, I saw Castrol Edge, 5W30 at PB. On the back it said "not for sale outside of North America". In the past that has raised a flag with me.

6 speed shifts better with TWS

I don't know what kind of power you're running thru the LT4 the T-56 but, I'm push 500 h.p. and 500 lb/ft of torque. I can back up Molakule and his MTLglide.. I'm very pleased w/ it.

'96 LT4 Vette 6 speed? GM calls for Dextron III don't they?

    T-56 in GM - S.F. vs others?

I'm using SF MTFGlide in my T-56. I like it very much. Over the years I've used many DexIII fluids and Redline's MTL and D4. In my case SF is the best I have found.

    Rain-X Spray Wax

I revisited Rain-X spray after about a 2 or 3 years. I had 2 coats of Zaino on from the weekend before. A waste oil truck dropped about 10 gallons of oil onto the interstate, 5 cars in front of me. My bright red car became a red car with black lower 1/4 panels and alloys. It misted over upper...

    comments on MTFglide...

Nothing scientific, just my subjective observation. I have a '97 SS Camaro w/ a bored and stroked 350 that put out 490 lb/ft of torque on an engine dyno. The t-56 tranny is orginal w/ 185,000 miles on it. GM recommends Dextron IIE/III fluid, 4 qt. capacity. I have tried many dextron fluids...

    PF2232

I did a search and I see that info is not readily availible...THanks! FYI....Last night I put on a Puralator 35399. I did not change the oil, filled the filter w/ 3/4 qt. of M1 0w30. I started the car and let it idle for 2 minutes or so. This morning it was 18 degrees F. The car sat outside...

    PF2232

Any idea how I get the beta's for the Delco and Puralator filters? .... or any filter for that matter.

    PF2232

I thought I'd bring this to the top. I do notice the ac/delco 2232 has a pressure relief valve set at 8-16 #'s. Puralator has filter #35399 also. My Chevy, bored and stroked (396 c.i.),LT1 block has the by-pass valve set up to never open and all the oil goes thru the filter. I have a high...

75W90 for extreme use? Are they all the same?

Ringmaster, I'm putting out simular power (408 rwhp and 422 rwtq)from a '97 Camaro that weighs 3720 lbs. w/ me in it. The 10 bolt, torsen rear end is not considered strong enough for those power levels. I don't drag race or drop clutch the car, but i will take advantage of the fun factor from...
