trying to figure what not to believe on the video.. both oils did a fine job in the engines, that's not the issue.. the biggest difference was the amount of varnish buildup as you can see in the photo.. engine on left much cleaner looking than engine on right.. seems to me the oil with less...
I think in teh end what matters is the API certs the oil carries.. for diesel engine teh CK-4 and CJ-4 tend the be the overbest oil for the more late model engines, with or with out emissions.. more so for truck with emission in helping to protect the DPF etc. the weight is the main concern...
just to drop in here a min... I installed a used FS-2500 bypass filter on my 2003 7.3L ford PS after buying in 2015.. I was mounted on the frame rail on driver side on it sided. two line ran back to oil filter housing that had two plug you remove for the lines.. There was no drain back valve...
bought a 2010 sonata with 125K miles. When I did the drain plug, yes they have drain plug, the fluid was a dark brown but not burn smelling.. I drain like 4 qts, refilled with Castrol Transmax let it run for a couple weeks doing that again, it get better looking and by the third time. keep on...
never changed fuel filter on gas car.. on my diesel every 15-20K.. I put a bottle of chevron techron in with 1/4 tank and drive like i stole it with cops on your tail till the fuel light comes on.. then mostly fill up and put second bottle in.. should notice a difference..
according to Valvoline engineers they say it can take up to 4 oil changes to clear the ring grooves to like new. Cummins had a similar oil product that had more of the cleaning stuff in it but in a gas engine it was clogging up oil filters too fast..
some people have experienced the clogged...
all great tricks till you try to do the piston soak on a fricken boxer engine in Subaru.. OOOMMGG.. LOL..
could you at oil change put a bottle of B-12 in crankcase and run at high idle for 10 mins or so with hot engine.. the change oil using Restore and protect?? have a daughter out in Fort...

Was wondering how many are using the Valvoline Restore and Protect engine oil.. according to many reports this oil kinda does what the B-12 etc soaks do but from the underside where the problem comes from.. oil blow by that is natural in all engines that...
yeah after doing the 7.3L oil/ filer change for years, you appreciate how frickin easy it is vs ram cummins filter change.. On the 78.3L I would hammer a big nail in the bottom of filter to drain it out. while that was working i had the 16 qt oil drain container taking on oil with the fumoto...
the valvoline restore and protect is same chemistry just not as aggressive as the old stuff.. instead of one oil change they recommend 4 with a bad gunked up engine. it cleans a little all the time to prevent clogging up oil filter.. whne i put some in my 188K mile hyundai that looked good...
just did the rebate thing.. you gotta get 3 gallons at a time on a receipt to get the 25 bucks.. the info says 10 per gallon... or 25 for 3.. there is no way to do rebate for single gallon on the online rebate form.. I had gotten 2,, all they had and had to take them back to get 3 on one...
