Some Anchor motor mounts might actually be good: Part #9023

It's not that uncommon for some brands to re-box others' parts...especially older stuff. I recently bought an "Ultra Power" clockspring from Rock Auto for an old Caravan. It was embossed with the Mopar part number and Pentastar logo. That said, never saw this in play with Anchor mounts.

Is Schrader an OE for Ford TPMS sensors?

To a point. If he wants to get another 11-year run from new sensors it's best to get a quality product instead of some Chinese knock-offs from Amazon or ebay.

Is Schrader an OE for Ford TPMS sensors?

Too hard to determine without actually looking at the sensors on the truck. There were several different OEMs in 2015 across all vehicle manufacturers, including Schrader, Continental/VDO, and others. Is your OE sensor a rubber-stem or a metal-sleeved clamp-in? Most of the OEMs I've seen on...

2007 Dodge Grand Caravan - Front Strut Assemblies

Sure. In the same way that Sorny, Panaphonics, and Magnetbox make great TVs. Ding-ding-ding! Fifty-two bucks for a complete assembly. You get what you pay for.

2007 Dodge Grand Caravan - Front Strut Assemblies

Unless they're obviously rusted/corroded to the point of losing their structural integrity, the springs are most likely 100% fine. The best way to diagnose this is to get the van off the ground with the suspension loaded (such as on ramps). Have a helper shake and shimmy the front end with...

They don't lock their bikes in Japan.

We don't lock up our bikes - or much else - in our neighborhood. Why? 1. We don't have riff-raff or street trash in our subdivision. It's a big selling point in this ZIP code. 2. We know and look after our neighbors...even the ones we don't like

    Leveling compound - small area

Porcelain tile, 9 x 9. I'm having a neighbor do the tiling job (it's his business). So this is something he can merely level during the install?

    Leveling compound - small area

I'm in the process of re-doing our guest bath and have already removed all the old tile and thinset. There are two small areas which require a bit of leveling (no more than 1/4-inch deep): The first is behind the toilet and the second about a foot in front of the toilet. When I replaced the...

Do you sometimes randomly pick up trash?

Not only do I pick it up, both of my boys (26 and 22) do the same. We also pick up items people carelessly toss on the floor at stores. It's called being a good neighbor and citizen.

2004 Nissan Sentra - Ball Joints and Tie Rod Ends

There are many, many styles of replacement boots available for ball joints and tie rod ends. Most simply fit by being sandwiched in place, but keep water & dirt out just fine. Replacing good components for this reason is absurd.

94 Dodge Caravan 3.3L transmission leak, shifting problem

Aside from the well-documented issues with the initial "Ultradrive" units in '89 and the early nineties, the A604/41TE transaxle matured into a very robust and reliable unit. The 62TE six-speed that followed was an evolution of the 41TE.

energy usage calculation for home cooling

No value judgements here! In fact, us open-window people are a distinct minority around here. We simply love the sea breeze and opening up the house to let it blow through (as able). Your summer bills are awesome, BTW. That's about what we pay for a 1400 sq. ft. house in the summer.

Most braking done by the front wheels?

Same thing with my DD '86 Daytona. Over the past decade I've done the fronts twice and only changed the rear shoes and hardware due to age and personal boredom when changing a leaky wheel cylinder. Sometimes I think the rear setup is only there for the parking brake.

Most braking done by the front wheels?

Generally speaking, the preponderance of braking effort is carried by the fronts; however, I've experienced some big differences on cars with 4-wheel disc brakes. When I did the initial brake job on my 2014 Town & Country (roughly 90K miles), the rear pads were down to about 10% while the...
