That may be true for the rubber, but the tire carcas should be firmer on performance tires. So personally wouldn't automatically exclude the long treadlife tires.

Lower speed rating should also help. Higher speed rating means stiffer tire.

Nordic tire is just a European term for what we call Winter tire in North America.

Can't go wrong with any of those choices. If wear is your primary concern I would go with X-Ice Snow though.
