Shell now in Australia

I use Gulf Western religiously now, tech support is second to none. They do 5W30, 5W40 and a 10W40 for C3 I use the 10W40.

Soot may only be measured for diesel engines.

Not factory fill. 4th oil change, just done at the dealership with "genuine" oil.

This is the oil analysis for our Renault Koleos (Nissan Xtrail T32 with QR25DE engine) Serviced with the dealer here in Australia where Castrol RN17 5W30 was used.

Manufacturer specifies 5W30 C3 or C4 due to the dpf.

I topped up with about 400ml at about 9000k mark, just before a big trip.

It's the only 10w40 grade I can find that meets the C3 required for my vehicle. It doesn't burn much if any but like most modern diesels it spews a little into the catch can.

Do you have any further update on this oil? It has peaked my attention also due to the above mentioned specs.
