    Larger 3/8” Drive Metric Sockets?

I had to break out the 3/4 drive ratchet to get that one. Other than that, I don’t think I’ve ever used three-quarter drive.

HF Bauer 20V 1/2" drive impact wrench

I bought most of my Bauer tools from ebay and saved a lot. Seek out the 5 amp batteries on ebay. Sometimes they can be had for less than half price of the store. Just have to keep checking on it.

279,000 miles - Mitsubishi Mirage engine teardown - top end vs pistons

Got to move that oil from behind the piston and through the oil rings. Perhaps a better designed piston and oil ring to move oil would have made a difference. But still engines don't last forever and it seemed to have done well for a long time due to the relatively low miles on oil changes.

White chunks in brand new Quaker State oil.

I had some Valvoline Nexgen oil that had something similar years ago. I put the bottle in front of a space heater to warm up the oil and it blended into the oil. Still didn't use the oil. Is it harmless? IDK.

Should rotors be replaced in pairs?

Yes, you will have uneven braking power.

Raybestos Element 3 Premium Brake Components?

I used the Raybestos Element3 rotors and pads on rear of my FJ Cruiser based on a lot of positive reviews. I only did a test drive so time will tell. Can't imagine anything going wrong as most of my driving is kind of slow. I have the front rotors and pads, but I couldn't get the dam wheels off...

How do you store your socket sets?

I bought some of the OEM magnetic socket holders and found they take a lot of room which is fine if you have a lot of draw space. In my roller round HF box I used the peg (popo stick) type. For miscellaneous sockets or other items I use the above make up trays from Amazon. You have get gray...

Do I really need a Fuel Pressure Gauge?

I'll be getting one this coming week. The Tacoma started having a hesitation and no codes. I haven't needed one in like 25 years, but the last time was on a 280ZX that ran fine and after a minute or two then it would have a bad hesitation. A fuel pressure gage showed the pressure was fine and...

When To Change Stock Spark Plugs ?

We have two toytotas one 17 years old with 125K miles and the other 15 years old with about 150K miles. Neither has had the plugs changed. Both run fine. One day I'll get to changing them.

How long do automatic transmissions last?

I know it all depends...... I'm talking about Tacomas, Tundras, and Sequoias. In approx two years will need another vehicle and it will be used. So I've been looking online and I see many over 200K miles and a few over 300K miles. I'm wondering if they go that long on the original transmission...

    2007 Tundra 4.7L w/A750F - Shift issue

There has been a lot of reports of the problem and many of them have said it's normal. I think my 2006 Tacoma as the same transmission and I've never experienced that problem, but I don't think it has hit teen temps here in SE La except maybe a few times. While not the same truck and along...

Guy goes a million miles on group lll synthetics doing 15,000 mile intervals.

The guy had the skill to keep his car going. Heck I'm impressed. No sure how the valve seat handled the broken valve. Personally, if I had enough skills I'd stick in another valve, some seals, gaskets, and a new timing belt and get it back on the road.
