I had the same thing. Did all my own maintenance with spotless records. Motor blew at 24K miles. Had the motor changed without question.

Awesome ride! As a retired Highway Patrolman, I can absolutely guarantee it was "beat on." My old patrol cars were either at a stop or floored. Amazing what a modern vehicle can withstand, I sure pushed mine. Love the car. Brings back alot of memories.

With the Mazda it shouldn't be an issue. My wife drives it more than me. So it will be mostly a "standard use" car. My VW is a different story. I'm retired and work PT at a local NAPA about a mile from my house twice a week. So I might put 50 miles a week on it.

Good plan. I did 2K intervals on my Soul and checked the oil at least every 3 days......motor still "blew up" at 26,500. I truly hope you have a better experience.
