So far, so good. I drained and filled with the Aisin fluid on my 2013 outback. Wife reports no changes.

    OEM Trans Cooler Install?

I just added an aux cooler for my 4th gen 4runner. 1. Consensus is to connect it in series after the stock cooling circuit. 2. Best way to be absolutely sure on what hose to use is to disconnect one hose at the radiator. To keep from making a mess, I use clear tubing, connect one tube to the...

post your latest transmission lubricant change.

2006 4Runner Sport with 121k miles. Dealer previously changed fluid at ~90K, 12 quarts of WS. I dropped the pan, cleaned the magnets and washed out the OEM filter. I did a coolant line transfer with 4 gal of Maxlife, and added a B&M cooler to help with the Austin TX hills and summer heat. Shifts...

    2004 4Runner Differential & Transfer Case

I ran with redline 75w90 with no issues in my 06 4Runner, diffs and transfer case. I'm sure it will like amsoil just as much. You could probably skip the lubgard if you're going to use amsoil signature atf.

1990 Toyota 4x4 transmission fluid type

I used redline MT-90 in my 2008 Tacoma 5 speed manual for years without issue. I sure it will work great in your transmission and transfer case. https://www.redlineoil.com/mt-90-75w90-gl-4-gear-oil

    Subaru 15208AA15A Alternatives

I use the Wix 57055 on my wife's 2013 outback, no issues so far. The Purolator PL14615 may be an option for you, it has the correct bypass spec.

Aisin ATF-SCV fluid for Subaru and Mitsubishi CVTs

Originally Posted by JTK Thanks for the update bronx! It's a bit odd that this fluid is recommended for both Subaru and Mitsubishi applications given they're different CVTs. Aisin ATF-SCV fluid for Subaru and Mitsubishi CVTs

I went ahead and ordered the Aisin ATF-SCV for my 2013 Subaru Outback and did a fluid change. My observations: The original fluid had 55K miles on it. It was brown like used motor oil with a green tint I haven't seen the Subaru CVTF-II fluid in person, but from the pictures online, the ATF-SCV...

Aisin ATF-SCV fluid for Subaru and Mitsubishi CVTs

I stumbled across this fluid shopping for my Subaru Outback. I can't find much info on the fluid, but it looks like it could be an alternative to Subaru OEM fluid??? ATF-SCV is formulated for Subaru & Mitsubishi Transmissions that require CVTF-II & CVTF-J4 Fluid...

    New to me 4Runner

I bought a 2006 4Runner 4wd v6 off my parents with 117k miles, and I plan on keeping it to 200k. It was serviced only by Toyota dealers, and I have all the records. It drives great, but I do notice a hard shift under light throttle at slow speeds, not sure if that's normal behavior for a750...
