if something like my hondas takes 4.75 quarts, it gets a full 5 quarts. only time i do partial quarts is if it is a half quart like 7.5 etc. otherwise below .5 i round down, and above .5 i round up. never had an engine come back or blow up and i wish i could count how many oil changes i’ve done.
2002 silverado 2500HD 6.0L with electric fans off of a 2013 escalade (700w motors vs 500w) will blow 38 degrees out of the vents on high in the middle of houston summers. it get uncomfortably cold on low after a while and requires blending in some heat.

Fram Titanium FS10890 has a silicone ADBV and metal wire backed synthetic media. it’s the only filter i run on the 6.7’s i service.

as state, if the ADBV is working correctly it doesn’t matter how big the filter is after initial start. it’s a steady flow system, volume in=volume out as fluid is basically incompressible.
M1 0w-40 passes some serious approvals in some very high performance gasoline engines. porsche A40 comes to mind. for something that goes from idle to full load in mere seconds, i’d much rather that 0w-40 over some 15w-40.
