weed eater feather lite brand products are junk.

I doubt that Echo would change or alter a production line depending on where the product will be sold. People spread the same disinformation about Toro equipment as well. Just doesn't make good business sense.

Wouldn't matter if he bought it at HD. I've bought them from HD and Echo dealerships. All have performed without a flaw for years. Only one carb replacement on the Shred 'N Vac in almost 15 years of a lot of use of all machines.

Too late for what? I see what you mean now. Didn't realize the post I was responding to was that old! Nonetheless, I wanted to relate my experience with Echo equipment. It's definitely good stuff.

weed eater feather lite brand products are junk.

I have an Echo CS346 chainsaw, 2 - Echo GT-200 trimmers, 1 - Echo ES-210 Shred N Vac and owned an Echo self propelled lawn mower. I also own a Stihl brush cutter, a Stihl chainsaw, 2 Jonsereds chainsaws, a Tanaka gas powered drill,a Shindaiwa gas powered water pump as well as a couple old...

Echo gas leaf blower and vacuum

I have an Echo Shred 'N Vac. It will pick up stones the size of pecans. Pretty sure it will do acorns. What I'd be concerned about is how well the shredder will handle the acorns. Jamming might be a problem.

Post your latest 2 stroke mix

1 gallon 25:1 for Shindaiwa two cycle water pump, 4 gallons 80:1 for 20 h.p. Yamaha outboard (supposed to be 100:1 but I like it a bit richer), 1 gallon 32:1 for Jonsereds chainsaws, Echo trimmers, Shred 'n Vac and small Echo chainsaw (supposed to be 25:1 for big saws and 50:1 for trimmers etc...

New Yamaha EF2000iS inverter Generator Oil Issue

Well folks, I'm back with my seven year report on the Yamaha EF2000is. To date, I have close to 2400 hours on the generator. It has been flawless other than oil consumption, which has since diminished somewhat. It still consumes some oil but probably less than half as much as when new. Couldn't...

Leaf Blower-NEW ignition coil & still won't start?

Is the crankshaft keyed to ensure the flywheel can go on one way only? Have you checked all of the associated wiring to ensure everything has continuity? As mentioned above, find the proper spec for magneto clearance and ensure the new ignition module is properly secured. Be careful when...

Purchased new Stihl weed wacker today

"Stihl weed wackers do not cost 3 times more than Echo WW. " Twenty to thirty years ago they were much more expensive. Competition has forced them to introduce their "home owner's" line and price them accordingly. The quality of home owner grade products has dropped along with the pricing...

Purchased new Stihl weed wacker today

Personally, I would have stuck with Echo. I moved away from Stihl products decades ago when they began to price themselves out of the market. Back then, Echo products were vastly underrated and relatively cheap compare to Stihl. Now all I buy is Echo. Since 2007 I've bought Echo Shred N'...

    Generator change interval

I have a 5 year old Yamaha inverter that's pushing 1600 hours. Oil change interval is 100 hours and I run a 5/10W30 - 15W40 blend 50-50, usually Rotella. I check the oil level every 25 hours or so. Otherwise it an oil change every 100 hours.

    Riding Mower Reviews

Does the Husqvarna have a Kawasaki engine? If so, I'd buy it. I bought a Husqvarna 1542 back in 2002 with a 15 h.p. Kawasaki engine. That machine has cut three 1/2 acre size lawns twice a week for the last 15 or so years. Been a very reliable machine with basic maintenance and it's still going...

Honda HRM215 vibrates when blade not engaged

Not familiar with this mower but, would it have a clutch to engage the blade? If it does, could the problem be with the clutch assembly and not necessarily the crankshaft?
