Its a 1965 Garelli M3, I have attached a couple of photos, the first photo is how I bought it at a steam rally this August, the second photo is how it is at the moment, just the engine to do and she'll be on the road. Do you have a Garelli too?

So what your saying is then, is that because AC kind of pulses whereas DC doesn't the AC pulsing effect is what makes the diaphragm vibrate?? sorry for my layman's language but I am no electrician.....

I have this Italian made 6V CEV horn off a Garelli moped, when I put power to it the metal diaphragm is pulled onto the electro magnet but it just stays there, therefore the horn doesn't make a noise because the diaphragm isn't vibrating. My query is, how does this horn work? all other...
