02 Suzuki Aerio synthetic oil recommendations?

Well I was looking for a oil that would be good for non adjustable hydraulic lifters and a timing chain. From what I've read moly is really good for stuff like that but, most of them have way to much zinc and would kill my cats.

02 Suzuki Aerio synthetic oil recommendations?

Haven't changed the ATF yet, for the ATF I was thinking Redline, RP or amsoil. I just didn't know if it would be best for a certain oil to go in the car since it has non adjustable hydraulic lifters and a timing chain. Current OCI is 3k.

02 Suzuki Aerio synthetic oil recommendations?

I have a suzuki aerio 2002, automatic, has 101k miles on it, and I was wondering if there was any particular synthetic oil that would be best for it since it has a timing chain with hydraulic lifters? The vehicle is driving 70% city/ 30% highway driving.

Question about back spec for hondas

Reason I ask is because: 1. supposed to get better fuel econemy. 2. from what I've read back then in the 90's oil sheared down to 20 weight from 30 after about 2000 miles. And 3, allot of manufactures have back speced their vechiles to 20 weight. But I guess the accord wasn't one of them.

    Honda 94 ex oil

Well there was a sale on Royal Purple with a royal purple oil filter for $35 at pep boys so... I dediced to try it out. The oil seems to work fine with the car the only thing I've noticed so far is the engine is a bit quieter when idling and the tempature is lower. I just thought I'd let you...

Well thanks for all you're opionons on the oil. I still for whatever reason still want to give the RP a shot but I think I'll wait on it until I get a car with less miles. Thanks ^_^

What do you do with your old oil?

I just take it to autozone, they have a big metal tank that you pour you're oil into.

what about my cold air intake Oregoonian? bepperb was saying that it can accumulate more silicon then a normal filter, and I should change it between 3-5k?

    Honda 94 ex oil

Ya bepperb I am planning on getting the timing belt, water pump, and the thermostat thingy replaced on it here in a month. Its just its pretty expensive to have a mechanic do it =( Probably going to have a value clearance check done while they're at it too.

    Honda 94 ex oil

Well thanks for the input. Why is K&N overkill? I thought it was a pretty good filter. And I got the car with 169k for free >_> And since then I had been running the maxlife in it with K&N. And I guess I was right that not allot of people on these forums like RP except for someone like NHHEMI...

    Honda 94 ex oil

Hello ^_^ Anyways I have a Honda Accord EX 1994 with 198kish miles on it, I change it every 3000 miles with Valvoline maxlife (red bottle) 5w30, with a K&N oil filter. I was wondering if it would be beneficial or not to switch to royal pruple with the royal purple filter? I've read on the forums...
