Very Old Kellogg American Air Compressor - Oil Suggestion?

My model 352 is from 1963 and still runs great. I have no need for air pressures beyond 100-psi, so mine is set to turn on at 80 and off at 100. I'm sure that the compressor could handle much higher pressure, but like you I wouldn't trust the tank.

Very Old Kellogg American Air Compressor - Oil Suggestion?

Looks like a Model 352. I have the same unit in my shop. Love it. I am using full-synthetic compressor oil that I bought on Amazon. It seems to like it just fine.

2003 Dodge Ram Diesel Shift When Cold Issue

Sounds like drain back. Try putting it in neutral to let the transmission fluid circulate. If I recall correctly the fluid doesn't circulate much while in park. That's what I do with my '03.

Need help with old grille/brush guard.

It sure looks like an old Luverne Truck Equipment guard to me. I had one that came on a '92 Dodge Ram that I bought used from North Dakota. It was very well made and I liked it a lot. www.luvernetruck.com

    What’s your favorite work boot?

I was a loyal USA-made Red Wing work boot customer for over 20 years. However, the last few pairs of them all wore out prematurely in the same places; separation of the sole at the toes, and excessive wear in the heels. I then bought a pair of 8-inch Ariat Hermosa XR boots and am very pleased...

2008 Lexus RX350 catastrophic oil cooler line failure

This same thing happened to my wife's 2011 Sienna last Friday. I was standing outside when she pulled into our driveway and I saw a long line of motor oil sprayed on the pavement behind her. I checked the dipstick and it was bone dry. She claimed the oil pressure warning light never came on, and...

    03 4.7 Durango - AC System

I just did my Durango too, and if memory serves it was 2.44 pounds of R134a, or 3.25 of those 12 ounce cans. I didn't replace the compressor so I don't know about the oil off the top of my head.

I also have a 2003 Dodge Ram with the Cummins and have always done 10k mile oil changes and changed the filter at 5k miles with a quart of make-up oil. I use Mobil One 5w-40 full synthetic and Fleetguard Stratapore filters and have never had any issues. This truck is about to turn 100k miles...

    Wheelchair Van Rental

I drive wheelchair vans part-time for a local government agency. You might try contacting your local Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) and see if they have any recommendations for a rental solution. Our local ADRC has wheelchair vans for transporting their clients but they do not...

    Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe fluid

Yes, the filter is just a metal mesh strainer. I have a 2008 Vibe. Mine has around 110,000 miles and over the years I've dropped the pan twice, and just did a drain/refill recently. The first two times I refilled with Mobil 3309, and for this last drain/refill I used some Amsoil Universal ATF...

Dorm life really worth the extra cost?

One suggestion is for your son to become a Resident Assistant working in the dorm. My daughter is a senior and has been an R/A in her dorm for the past 3 years. She receives a free meal plan and free room in exchange for her services. She has really enjoyed the extra responsibilities and it...
