Will take a look at the Yokohama's. What is the most miles you got out of a set of 4 on your Odyssey?

Regarding the run flat tires, it would be cheaper for the average driver to get the lower trim level with the regular tires, and then pay for AAA so that if they ever get a flat, they can use the AAA phone app and have them send a truck to change the regular tire for them. That was smart to put...

Tires with 90,000 mile tread wear warranty only lasting 40k to 50k miles (multiple brands).

Yes, my son drives that way. Being a passenger in his car during stop and go driving is like hard acceleration and then hard breaking in an infinite repetitive loop. Was making my blood pressure rise LOL. I try to hypermile when I drive, barely touching the accelerator or brake and coasting...

Yes, I'm finding that out more and more now that we're driving the van's 20k a year. It's a hidden maintenance expense on the Odysseys that most people don't factor it, that they go through tires faster than most vehicles. Walmart has some really cheap tire brands, Chinese and Indonesian...

Tires with 90,000 mile tread wear warranty only lasting 40k to 50k miles (multiple brands).

That's great. After 50-55k miles, how many x/32's are left in the tread approximately?

Tires with 90,000 mile tread wear warranty only lasting 40k to 50k miles (multiple brands).

The Sienna AWD have the run flat tires, which I've read might only last 20k miles and are very expensive (near $900 for a set of 4). But with the Odyssey, I just want the tires to last a long time, as each Odyssey I have is driven almost 20k miles a year due to long commutes by various family...

I buy them at my local Walmart. They gave me a very hard time with the pro-ration. I was able to have some success with it, but it took a lot of effort to talk with a few coaches and later the store manager. But pro-ration is never generous or what you would think it should be.

I've been buying name brand expensive tires with 80,000 to 90,000 mile treadwear warranties: Michelin Defender 2 All Season P235/65R16 103H Passenger Tire (80,000 mile treadwear warranty), and Hankook Kinergy PT (H737) All Season 235/65R16 103T Passenger Tire (90,000 mile treadwear warranty)...

    Interesting long road trip observation

I know GTL oil has similar advantages to PAO oil (like flowing very fast in extreme cold weather, and also doesn't degrade in extreme heat). But in terms of additive package (anti-wear, detergents), I prefer high doses of phosphorous/zinc and calcium regardless of whether an oil is GTL or just...

    Interesting long road trip observation

Given a choice between SOPUS products, I like Quaker State's High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 as it has a very generous additive package with high amounts of phosphorous/zinc anti wear additives, and calcium detergent additives.

    Interesting long road trip observation

The UOA's on Pennzoil Platinum oils show an additive package with very low levels of Phosphorous and Zinc (At or below 600 ppm). It's easy to say that due to the GTL base oil, that it doesn't need a strong additive package, but that is an unproven assumption.

People with high mileage vehicles who run supertech full synthetic oil

I just wanted to fully understand the 2 scenarios regarding Subaru's in this thread. Scenario #1: danjak26 (the thread starter)'s parent's Subaru has 150,000 miles on it and was using Super Tech High Mileage Full Synthetic 0W-20 oil at 10,000 mile OCI, and posted pictures showing extremely...
