how to read this UOA?

I haven't seen any Chervon 5W-20 yet in Nor Cal.

I would say, generally, those better dino oil should be safe for 5K OCI.

As the title say, why to use oversize oil filter? I know it has more area to filter, but any negative effect like lower oil pressure? Is it true that bigger filter = lower oil pressure?

So, how bad are they? I got the freebie and going to put it in my 04 Accord.

I am going to the Wally after work today and check out the oil session. I need to buy some oil for my 86Civic beater. I also think that the WalMart around the SF Gay area always have Chervon Supereme, but I will see if they have Delo.

Thanks TC, I am going to search for the Rotella or Motorcraft. I just want to clean it up a little bit and ARX is too expensive for this beater.

I just swtich from dino to Valvoline w-20 syn oil at 7.5K and I am planning to do a 7.5K miles OCI, I think it should be fine, I will do a oil analysis at that point.

In order to clean it up a little bit? It has 213000 miles on it and it's burning about 1/2qt per 3000 miles. If so, can anyone recommed which oil I should use and for how long? Also 3000 miles then switch back to regular dino oil?

This whole debate on 5W-20 vs 5w-30 or xW-x0 is getting more confusing. I always stick with what the factory recommend but how come the same engine in Europe or Aisa see different recommendationas for oil??

I read a lot of people saying that a certain engine is hard on oil and some other engines are easy on oil. What does it mean? And how to determine if an engine is easy or hard on oil? High rev engines are harder on oil in general? And vice verse? Thanks guys!

Wow, the top is with 3K OCI with dino?? I don't expect it is so nasty, I think it is @7.5K OCI with dino. The buttom look so nice!! I like Syn oil!!

I have so mnay quarts of oil in my storeage because I just can't stop buying on slae oil from Wally, lol. My question is: How long are they good for? Given that they are still in the bottle and I didn't open the cap yet. 1 year? 2 years? maybe 3 years?
