Hey man, honestly it’s not that bad. Mine was on an 07 classic so i had to disconnect the pitman and idler arms but removing the diff and starter were all that bad. Well worth it to save an engine.
This is what was happening in mine right before the oring on the pickup tube failed. When the oring was cold it wouldn’t seal and after it warmed up it would seal and return to proper oil pressure.
I believe the only time a CEL flashes is when the engine is making to much nox. I know it sounds to easy but I’d try some quality fuel injector cleaner. Could be as simple as a under preforming injector. Definitely any easy thing to try.
Could be the stepper motor at the gauge cluster or even the cluster itself. I've had the oring issue that i fixed with a new oring. In that situation the oil pressure was low on a cold start up but would go to normal once warm. Then I had the situation you currently have. My gauge was all over...
Hello, I just went through this with a friends 98 vortec. We tested fuel pressure and there was definitely a leak. Once we took the plastic plenum off it was obvious the pressure regulator was bad. We ended up replacing the original injection system with the upgraded spider that relocates the...

No I haven't been able to get a confirmation if it's available. The truck does have an oil pressure gauge on the dash and it's more than just an idiot light. Their website doesn't show a code for mine but just figured there might be someone that had figured out a way.
Good day gentleman. I am wondering if anyone here may have had any luck getting an oil pressure read out on a scangauge II for my 2007 Silverado classic 5.3L
