    Stumped: Toyota CV boot clamp

There's a number on the old clamp signifying the length. Have you matched that number with one of the new clamps in the kit? And then that style on the new one doesn't match the old style? There will be more clamps than you need in the kit to fit other applications.

Toyota/Lexus UA80 Camry Rav4 etc Fluid Level Check

To fill until it leaks out the 24mm hole would be overfilled. This is what I've done on U760E (did yesterday which is the below directions for a 2014 Camry) & U660F 6-speed auto transmissions. There are TSBs & service manual instructions for this as well as many videos such as Car Care Nut...

How many drain and fills should I be doing during a transmission fluid change?

I prefer a drain & fill more often vs. multiple drain & fills back to back. It keeps a fresher fluid % over time & "wastes" less clean fluid as you're draining some new fluid with multiple drains back to back. If you're paying for the labor, then that may not make as much financial sense, but I...

    Crush washer torque

The torque will overcome the crush portion of the washer (which is not 100% of the washer thickness) and provide the clamping force required. It's possible that some aftermarket crush washers aren't controlled well enough or at the right value to coincide with the required torque value set by...

Toyota ATF WS Lack of Availability

Was HPL Green ATF designed with Toyota WS as the baseline design target? Just curious. I've also often wondered what baseline spec AMSOIL was built upon.

Annual DIY Maintenance Costs for Vehicles >100K miles

Here's our 2002 Accord (bought new July 2002 with 19 miles) which has 289k miles. I've changed the oil every 7500 miles with a wide variety of oils including many boutiques so prices may be elevated. I also do a simple drain & fill on ATF every oil change. Likewise for coolant but every 30k...

Here's our 2001 Ranger (bought October 2010 with 78k miles) which has passed the 195k mile service (oil changes every 5k miles). I also do a simple drain & fill on coolant & replace air filter every 30k miles. ATF pan drop every ~30k miles. Diff service is every 50k miles. All DIY except tires...

Annual DIY Maintenance Costs for Vehicles >100K miles

Here's our 2016 Highlander (bought March 2016) which has passed the 160k mile service (oil changes every 5k miles). I also do a simple drain & fill on fluids every 30k miles (ATF, coolant, diff, transfer [but switched transfer to every 60k miles after the 2nd change]). All DIY except tires. I...

Valvoline Hybrid ATF Fluid at Advanced Auto Parts

Some stores will order it for you. I ordered a couple hundred of the Mobil 1 Truck and SUV oil when it was on clearance from one store. They gathered it all up for me to pick up.
