Amazon‘s pushing Triax oils real hard right now. Decided to return the Triax and get some Castrol edge extended performance 25,000 mile formula to test.

With how regulated engine oils usually are how the hell was this able to hit the shelves claiming it has certifications it doesn’t? claims to be Dexos 1 gen 3 certified but as far as GMs certified oil list is concerned…it is not.

Mmmmm now I’m afraid to put it in my car. Was gonna run extended intervals in a 2013 Prius C. Bought it because it was on sale and cheaper than the other extended drain oils. After I bought it I found the BS goin around 🤣 and it doesn’t instill confidence that the label is completely different...

Interestingly i ordered that exact oil. And what arrived was very different. It now claims 15,000 miles not 20,000. and is only ILSAC GF-6 rated instead of ILSAC-GF 7. The label has changed a lot but still has the old label on amazon claiming 20k intervals or 2 years. Gonna have to get it tested.
