I never heard back from Purolator. There are plenty of other filters to use, so that's what I'm gonna do. I'm disappointed with the torn filter media and more disappointed that Purolator's customer service is nonexistent.

That's what I just did. I am going to run a Fram the next time.
I've emailed two people at Purolator and no one has responded after 3 days.
Email sent.
The two things I asked them are:
1. What happens to the efficiency rating when there's a hole in the filter media?
2. What quality and durability solutions have they or are they planning to implement?
