Rotella Synth (5W-40) in Ford 460 Motor
Big O Dave, Thank you very much for your reply and info. My only concern was if the diesel formulated oil hurt the CAT or leak around the seals and gaskets? The manual says 10w30... but hopefully 5W-40 will be ok in such a large motor and one used for towing? Thanks, Jeff- Beachbumcook

Rotella Synth (5W-40) in Ford 460 Motor
I have a 1991 F250 with the 460 gas motor and wonder if I can switch to Rotella T-Synthetic. motor oil with any problems? I have 80,000 on the motor and it has always had conventional 10w30 oil and would like to switch to Rotella T-Synthetic (5W-40) due to better winter starting and better hot...- Beachbumcook

Oil for 2006 Ford 6.0 PSD
Mobil 1 Truck and SUV is NOT the same as Delvac 1!!! Read the labels... Truck & SUV is only CI4+ rated. Delvac 1 is CI4+ rated. Delvac 1 is more expensive and if they were the same, why would anyone buy it??? Their website shows only CI4 for Truck & SUV and if the spec sheet, website and...- Beachbumcook
