The copper's source is usually from the oil cooler in the radiator.
thanx for posting
it's the first atf uoa from this car
an atf oil cooler is very lightweight. I think it's made of aluminium composition, rather than copper
Changed out my second fill of Mercon SP XT-6-QSP in my 07' BMW 525d 6hp19. This oil was in use for about 2 calendar years, it was short winter trip and summer highway driving.
I think, copper is the issue of concern.

I found that LL04 oil didn't hold TBN well at 11-12000mi (19000km) in my 09 X5 35d, so I now use an ACEA E6 oil...

Here is a new UOA from my BMW 525d 3.0d on the same Ravenol VMO. The next 5km from the first UOA were 50% hard city and 50% highway driving. Oil was changed.

Sulfur fall to 1768 (2952 VOA). I wonder, what...

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any avarages for this engine. The only one I met - http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2642510#Post2642510
I'll have aprox. the same results at the same mileage, I suppose.
Greetings from Russia !
Here is the report on my remapped '07 BMW 525d from one German lab. I put the results in Blackstone-like table hand made.

buy extra quart and pour it into the engine, while draining plug is open. It helps to renew oil in the pan.
