I was in Walmart and grabbed 2 jugs of Mobil 1 for the next oil change in my truck. And on the way home I had to grab a couple things at Napa so figured a Gold 7502 filter needed to be purchased as well for said oil change.

Grabbed the necessary supplies for dad’s f150 with the 2.7EB. 6 qts of Castrol Edge High Mileage 5w30 Micro guard select 10050

Grabbed 5 qts of Castrol Edge 5w30 and a CarQuest Premium 85348 for mom’s Explorer. Also grabbed a single qt of Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30 for my truck.

Avoid the Motorcraft. I have a 2018 F150 with the 5.0 and I've been running Carquest Premium/Microguard Select and have been very happy with them. I have a South Korean Mobil 1 on now and will likely get the Carquest EP next. I would stick to the Premium Guard filters (Carquest...

Just changed the oil in the truck the other week but with the Castrol promotion going on, might as well stock up for the next change. Also added a new Extended Protection Carquest filter just for good measures

And i also noticed they now have a Carquest EP filter. It seems they dropped Purloator and in favor for their own EP filter but based on how M+H have fared with poor build quality I would grab a Carquest any day of the week.

I sent him that USA made Mobil 1. Kind of glad I didn't use it on my truck. That glue was sloppy. I bought that filter September/October last year before I joined on here and wasn't aware of the glue issues on the M&H filters. Wish they were better made since they are made in my state. But...

Not time to do the change yet. But, figured since Pennzoil had the rebate going and my local Walmart had some 5w30 in stock I better go ahead and grab some. Also gonna try the new Mobil 1 filter made in S. Korea.
