NEO 0w5 Racing Synthetic, 25K, VW Golf 1.9TDI, ALH

Yes there is. I did a UOA at 330K in March of 2016 but there were a couple of deaths in the family so every thing gets push to the back burner. The car now has over 370K and still running better than new. I will try to post some time this month as soon as I find the information (new computer...

Anyone remember "Syn-Trek, Inc." syn. additives?

I was just a consumer, bought the stuff from my neighbor. We both kind of went in together to save money, he was a distributor. I bracket raced quite a bit at that time and the oil was just fine. We went to Red Line for race and Amsoil for street when we got better jobs. I also like their...

Anyone remember "Syn-Trek, Inc." syn. additives?

I still have several cases of Syn-Trek products in my garage. I used them for a while in my pickup trucks in the early 90. I stopped using them once I switched to Red Line/Amsoil products.

    TDI (ALH) oil change interval?

I am at 53K miles on the current OCI. I am planning to change the oil this weekend, finally. My car has over 332K as of today. The previous OCI was 25K miles. 2003 Golf TDI running NEO 0W5 and a Franken mix of makeup oils.

Due to unexpected family emergency, I have not had a chance to change the oil. The current OCI is over 50K, ODO is over 325K miles. I should have some time to change the oil this month so stay tuned. Car is still running fine and the mileage is currently around 62mpg due to no A/C usage.

The fat lady is about to sing for the A380

The 747-8 will survive because it is currently configured for both passengers and freighters, the A380 is not. Many freight terminals are not setup for the A380. The 747-8F is and will be in the future the largest freighter from Boeing. The 777F in any variation is still less capable than a 747-8F.

    Is Z-Max worth a [censored]?

I do have proof that ZMAX give me better mileage in "ALL" of my vehicles. I do run them in all of my vehicles, plus my relatives, plus my friends. I am an end user, not a seller nor owner of ZMAX. No harm, no foul, all benefits until proven otherwise.

NEO 0w5 Racing Synthetic, 25K, VW Golf 1.9TDI, ALH

Just an update on this oil. I am at 28K miles going to a 35K OCI on this same oil and the mileage is getting better than ever. I replaced the original glow plug after 300K miles and mileage is now close to 65mpg on the last four tanks. A 35K UOA will be available some time in April. As of today...

All Red Line Race oils are full of moly. I run it as a blend in most of my vehicles and YES I do see a better fuel economy in older vehicles.
