new ball joint not accepting grease

Yes the gun is in good condition, and I tired greasing both before I installed it into the lower arm and once it was in. I haven't tried it installed with suspension unloaded yet - do you think that might make a difference? The brand is safety suspension parts, made in Osaka Japan - got it...

new ball joint not accepting grease

Hey everyone, I just installed new control arms, tie rods and lower ball joints. The lower ball joint will not accept grease, the zerk fitting works as it should as I put grease through it separately already. Should I just wait a few more miles and try greasing again, with hope that it has...

    Control Arm bushing bolts

Yes you are right - two bolts attach the arm to the frame in the middle, and there are two nuts on either end of the bushings. Do you know how tight (approximate torque) to do these nuts up to avoid binding and tearing the bushings?

    Control Arm bushing bolts

I bought new upper control arms today, going to install them tomorrow. They are already pre-assembled with the bolts that go through the bushing tightened, and the ball joint bolted in. Can I leave the bolts that go through the bushings as they are, or do I have to loosen them and tighten...

    25w60 HM oil

Great, I was considering changing it out but really didn't want to as it is quite expensive. I have some 20w50 as well so I will probably use that next time.

    Condition of timing belt

Hey everyone What is the best way to tell the condition of the timing belt by looking at it from the top cover? What to look for in a worn belt? (colour, texture, hardness etc) Thanks for any help.

    Redline MT-85 Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero

Thanks for the replies guys I think I will end up putting it in, it has 150,000 miles on it, I've had it for 50,000 and the manual box oil hasn't been changed. I put Valvoline 80w90 in the transfer case which is a dual gl4/gl5 spec oil a while ago - should I leave this in there or put in...

    Redline MT-85 Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero

What do you think about using Redline mt-85 gl4 gear oil in a 1999 mitsubishi pajero/montero manual transmission? I have heard that this oil is thin and reddish in colour, while gear oil is usually golden and a bit thicker..... Thanks for any help.
