I did a little more research... It seems the poster that claimed that the PL14459 had more media than the PL14610 flip flopped 3 months later and said the opposite. ??
I can't speak from experience, but according to more than one post on this forum, the 14459 has a better efficiency rating and more media than the 14610...
My civic takes a PL14610, one of the smaller pureone oil filters. Has anyone has used this part number for 10k miles without failure? I was thinking about re-using my filter during my 4-5k summer changes. Thanks.
What would be considered a longer trip? My daily commute to work is about 15 miles, 14 of it highway.. Is that considered long enough?
I'm not running this mixture yet, but might next spring.. when you have a car that only takes 3.75 qts. and buy different 5 qt bottles that happen to be on...
Hypothetically, let's say you have a quart each of these 5w-20 oils: Mobil 1, Valvoline Synpower, Quaker State Conventional, and Napa Synthetic and put them into your Honda Civic for an oil change... How long would you run this mixture for? Just curious.. :-)
