    Post your latest E0 purchase

Just got 1.75 gallons in my gas can mixed with 6.4oz of Husqvarna XP+ for a 35:1 mix ratio. Using this mix in my three vintage/antique Lawn-Boys, Husqvarna trimmer, Hitachi leaf blower, and my new Predator mini tiller/cultivator. After this batch is gone, I’ll be going back to Amsoil Saber...

You been watching Richard Flagg on YouTube with his chainsaw tear downs? L8R, Matt

Gold Standard for 2 Cycle Oils? Chainsaw

Yep, that’s kind of what I was getting at. L8R, Matt

Gold Standard for 2 Cycle Oils? Chainsaw

Yep, I used to run 32:1 in my Boys, but with Saber and Red Armor, I upped it a little to 40:1. That way I can run the same mix in everything I have. I’ve pulled the carb/reed valve assembly off the D433 on my 1975 5024 Bricktop, and the D600 that I used to have when I still had my 7262, and the...

Gold Standard for 2 Cycle Oils? Chainsaw

Amsoil Saber or Echo Red Armor either at 40:1 or 50:1. I run three antique Lawn-Boys and keep my mix at 40:1 just for a little more piece of mind. Both oils are high end, but the Amsoil is less than half the price of Echo Red Armor. Red Armor is around $12 for a 16oz bottle, while Saber is...

My Echo blower first ever starting issue.

If you have fuel, spark, timing, and compression, the next thing that should be checked are the crankshaft seals. 2 stroke engines need to be airtight. Even though you may have good compression in the cylinder, it could be sucking air through the crank seals. L8R, Matt

    Two Stroke How To

Everything I own is 2 stroke. I mow rotating my three antique Lawn-Boys, along with my two trimmers, leaf blower, and Echo saw. I usually mix my fuel at 40:1 using either Echo Red Armor or Amsoil Saber. But this last batch I mixed it 35:1 using Husqvarna XP+ oil. I’ve heard good things about the...

What is the best 4 stroke mower you have owned?

Mine would have to be my old 1993 Craftsman II push mower with the 3 1/2hp Tecumseh engine. If it took two pulls to get it started, it was a bad day. It mowed pretty decent and I also had the side bagger setup for it. Once I got my Lawn-Boy Bricktop, I donated the Craftsman to a girl my Wife...

11hp Briggs Intel valve cover gasket

Also check on the muffler. A lot of the Intek engines I’ve seen have the serial number stamped there. L8R, Matt

    Best string trimmer head?

I replaced the stock head on my Husqvarna 128LD with the Echo SpeedFeed 400. Love it and haven’t looked back. I was thinking about getting the Husqvarna speed feed head when they came out with it, but early reports showed that it had some failures of the cap breaking off. L8R, Matt

3 day power outage, Westinghouse generator experience

Good to hear the success of your generators. I have the iGen2200 and have luckily only had to actually use it for about 3 hours when the power company was replacing the main power line to us. I only ran a couple table lamps and a ceramic heater on medium. L8R, Matt

    Bucket list mowers

I hear you on the 7262. I also had one that was an absolute beast! The D600 and D400 engines are so simple, but the power to weight ratio makes them punch way above their class. That mower out mowed the John Deere 14SB I had with the 5hp Kawasaki commercial duty engine on it. But I got rid of...

    7th season with my mower

    I mow with my 1975, 1978, and 1987 Lawn-Boys. Gotta love those old 2-strokes! L8R, Matt

Drug home a couple more Lawn Boys yesterday

The D600 engines make some pretty good torque for a 3.5hp rated engine. I had one one my old 1973 #7262 that ran seriously strong. L8R, Matt

Drug home a couple more Lawn Boys yesterday

Nice grab! I rotate my mowing with my 1975 #5024, 1978 #5277, and 1987 #5254. Everything I own except for our cars burn 2 stroke. L8R, Matt
