    Inexpensive Tires for Camry

Another vote for the Kumho LX Platinums at Walmart. It remains my go-to tire. I have them shipped to my house and mount myself, so I don't have any experience with how install goes at Walmart.

    VCT vs cove base adhesive

I wish I could help but all I can do is relate to the frustration of being at Home Depot, reading all the labels on the different flooring adhesives and still being uncertain on which one is appropriate. Surely somebody here has some input.

    I bought a 2010 Prius for $3000

Nice looking car. I can't believe I've never seen anything about the paint issue. That's news to me. I'm curious, did you have to remove the front bumper cover to install the new headlight assemblies?

    I bought a 2010 Prius for $3000

Bought my 2010 back in 2014 with 168k miles (presumably highway miles being a 4 year old car). I have proceeded to put another 625k on it. Now nearing 800k miles so I have a little experience with these. Biggest maintenance headache is the EGR system with EGR cooler, EGR valve and intake...

    Popped Moog Ball joint boot

The Critic - the rear end links on a 2010-15 Prius TRD sway bar cross over to some Honda FRONT sway bar end links. 2000 Honda Accord, 2002 Acura CL. Of course other years of those body styles but I'm not familiar enough with them to know the ranges. I just know those cars work when looking them...

    Popped Moog Ball joint boot

775k on my original ball joints on my 2010 Prius. Only has lower ball joints (MacPherson struts). Of course they live a fairly sheltered life down there as opposed to upper ball joints on some applications but I can report that they are still tight. Original control arm bushings, original CV...

    2012 Honda Accord EX-L, 225/50 R17

Can't go wrong with Kumho LX Platinum (KU27) for 83 each (shipped) at Walmart. I've had a bunch of them. I don't even bother having them balanced now - they seem to always barely take any weight. I just mount em and go. I am rarely above 70 mph though. YMMV

Talk to me about "slotting" struts?

Same reason you recommend the $95 OEM motor mount when that $23 Anchor/DEA/eBay/whatever plain white box mount is so tempting. A while back I did some reading on those inexpensive struts on RockAuto for my budget-conscious neighbor. I don't remember specifics but I went away knowing I was not...

Talk to me about "slotting" struts?

Rockauto.com - the first item under Suspension tab is "Alignment bolt" KYB struts are $49 each (don't forget to use a 5% discount code). Plus install obviously. Worn struts should not affect your camber angle. More likely other worn components or collision damage

    Looking for a quiet tire

Tough to beat the Kumho KU27 LX Platinum at Walmart for $79 (free shipping, not stocked in stores). I just bought 8 for myself to have in stock. Like everything else, they were 10% cheaper 2 months ago when I got them. Good looking, quality, quiet tire...

    Download Text Messages to PC

I haven't read this entire thread but for years I have been using the Textra app for my texting. I know it has the capacity to email an entire text conversation to an email address. Not sure if you were to download the app and set it as your default texting app whether all your old messages...

For those that advocate 10K miles OCI

Here is another data point. This is my Prius at 515,000 miles when I had to replace the head gasket. (fairly common issue) 2010 with the 1.8 (video is the older generation with the 1.5). I don't even think about changing the oil before 10k, many times has gone over 15k. Very rarely does it see...

    Good oil drain pan

Concrete/mortar mixing tub found in the masonry isle at Home Depot. Very sturdy black plastic. Rectangular shape, open tub. They offer a very large one also. Mine is called medium. 7 bucks. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Medium-Mixing-Tub-26100/301943161

    Fuel Injectors?

Randon data point. At 625k my 2010 Prius was still running great but long term fuel trim was approaching +15% at times. I happened to have a set of almost new (OEM) injectors from a 3k mile 2020 Prius. They came with a cylinder head I purchased for a different project. Part numbers didn't match...
