Thanks, I wasn't aware of the mileage requirement. Only since the last oil change has this been an issue: before that, I think I only had to add 1-1 1/2 quarts, spread out over the interval. I thought that the seals might be getting de-sludged, and that the high mileage oil might restore them...

We have a 2010 Impreza (144,000 miles, 2010) driven by a teen. It hasn't been using significant oil, but I've had to add about 2 1/2-3 quarts since the last oil change (3000 mi ago). I've already done four changes with Valvoline Restore and Protect, and am wondering if this could have anything...
