It started in the 80s. I remember Haro BMX bikes were made in the USA for a while then they moved it to Taiwan in 1984. Redline and Diamond Back also made bikes in Japan in 1985. And that's just the example of BMX.

The problem is still there. I suspect that it needs physical scrubbing. But anyway I have another 2 bottles of rislone, so I will use it in my next oil change too.

I just used lubegard complete ATF in my transmission. Took out nearly 3 qts dexIII and filled with the lubegard Dex6. Will do another drain and fill in a few months. While I didnt notice any problems before, the 35 year old transmission worked great with the Dex6 Lubegard.

What you have in there can even go longer than 5000km. So I say go to 5000km then change. 2500km is a walk in the park for the Dominator.

Ok I guess AMSOIL added more VII to get to 19+ , while I guess the 15W-50 has very little VII. It must be their way to ensure that when it shears it is still within acceptable limits per OCI. But notice that the HTHS on the 5W-50 is lower eventhough the KV100 is higher. That is more temporary...

The 5W-50 would be a little "thinner " than 15W-50 at its 100C KV, but by not much. And I guess it wont shear much given your mileage per year, even beating on it. I say go for it.

Its a low end early 80s Diamond back non looptail . The frame is probably high tensile steel instead of chromoly.
