Baxter Performance Cartridge to Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter

Anyone have an idea what a good equivalent filter to either of these would be? I don't need an extended life (taller) filter. Due to clearance issues, I need a shorter one. BAXTER WEBSITE: WIX 57502, Mobil1 M1-212 or equivalent I'm thinking one of these? - MOPAR 4892339AA - MOBIL M1-113...

I'm running a Dorman. It failed, but it was under warranty. I've read you need the Dorman cooler with the Mopar gaskets.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

If the 3.6 is still using the same crappy plastic oil cooler w/ drop-in filter, I'd say it's not fixed. It's possible they've improved the rockers, though.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

THIS IS A FACT! I've owned the 258, 242 and my CJ-5 had the 304 v8. Loved all three of those engines.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

I don't know why they ever switched from the 258 or 242 straight six. Great engines! No, they've never fixed it. There are several class-action lawsuits out there.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

I agree on the radiator, water pump, etc. Just venting. ;) I'm running 5w-30 Mobil 1. As for the Baxter, it just makes sense...at least it does to me. My Jeep isn't a daily driver, so it sits for a day or two and I always hear the lifter tick upon dry start. Something is causing these...

Baxter Performance Cartridge to Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter

I use the same oil and I have/had a slight tick on start, but no lifter tick whatsoever while driving. Yes, my 2016 Jeep is in the shop at 82K miles having the camshafts replaced (again).

Now that I'm doing rocker bearings and camshafts for a THIRD time across two POS 3.6L engines, I've added it to my 2016 Wrangler. Why Chrysler keeps pushing out that 3.6L with known oil cooler and rocker bearing issues is beyond me.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

This is an old thread, but putting my 2 cents here for anyone looking to buy a vehicle with the 3.6L Pentastar--DON'T! That engine sucks! I've got two--2014 Grand Cherokee and 2016 Wrangler. BOTH have had the following issues: 2014 (132K miles) - rocker bearing issue both camshafts replaced...

    Audi oil guidance

The 2.0 TFSI (40 not the 45). I think it's like 201HP. So that brings me back to the Mobil 1™ ESP x2 0W-20 which is 508 compliant per the PDS. https://www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/for-personal-vehicles/our-products/products/mobil-1-esp-x2-0w-20

Ya, so much for the book. Under the hood says SAE 0W-20 or VW 508. Go figure.

Copy paste from my book: - Standard VW 504 00, ACEA C3, ACEA C4, API SP or ILSAC GF-6A. All viscosity classes within these standards are permitted.

Sorry, I hit post too soon. When I use the search tool on Mobil 1 it gives me the one above; however, when I look at the specs you are correct. When I look at the PDS for this one, though, Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20, it does say it's API SP, ILSAC GF-6A, ACEA C3, & ACEA C4 approved...
