For those that constantly worry about cold flow.

Yes, but how do we know the VW engine wasn't rigged?

I might get flamed for this link wd40

I use WD40 on my bike like in this video except I use Finishline bike lube for the final chain lube. https://youtu.be/QvzVRxlIUL0?list=PLUdAMlZtaV11U9AtszkMh0bpRqM4dtlDC

    Bike Chain Lube Recommendations Wanted

Finish Line wet for you I think. I ride to work year-round in the Seattle area, mountain bike and road. Here's what I use, all Finish Line products: Wet - rain, really long rides, the most resilient lube Dry - dry, moderate rides 1-Step - commuting in dry and shoulder months

    0W oil is a waste

Watch some of the 'cold start' videos on YouTube if cold crank viscosity interests you. It's pretty fun. The 15W-40 diesels suffer most when not plugged in. Brutal.

    FRAM PH3593A - 7,300mi OCI - Cut Open

I can understand some of concerns but the bottom line is that FRAM delivered. For 7,300 miles with rpms regularly as high as 5,000 this little $5 guy hung on to the bottom of my engine and kept filtering. Say whatever you want but it didn't tear. It didn't fail. OCOD+1

    1999 Ford F150 64,000 miles

Welcome and great question. In addition to the above responses, here are my thoughts: I've put about 200,000 combined miles on 5.4L's since 1998. Very tough motor. I've had good luck with Motorcraft's FL820-S and full syn 5w-30 or 5W-20 depending on model year. 5,000 mile OCI's no matter how...
