I was able to find some GL4 amsoil, so I returned the RP, wasn't aware that the tranny mount was different between the 2 trannys,
I'll find out tomorrow when my mechanic tries to install it.
Which trans mount are you referring to? I just checked on on Nissan FAST program and the front and rear...
I have a 90 nissan sentra 4 speed and am currently using amsoil 75w-90 GL-4 gear oil, I am replacing the 4 speed with a brand new 5 speed and picked up some royal purple gear oil today, but it is 75w-140, would this viscosity be ok to use instead of the 75w-90? What effects would the 140 have...
Of course the price of crude oil effects the prices of our gas, but if synthetic oil is synthetic why does it seem that as the price of crude oil rises so does the price of synthetic oil??
The newer nissan sentra's use a metric filter, using wix filters as an example my 90 sentra uses a 51361 height-4.067 diameter- 2.960 thread 3/4-16
the 2004 sentra with the 1.8 engine uses a 51365 height-2.577 diameter-2.685 thread 20x1.5mm.
I don't own a 2004 sentra but my friend just bought...

it may be the filter I don't know, tried to get to the oil filter study page but I guess he changed it and his opinions of the filters are no longer on the site, don't remember what was said about the napa gold filter.
before, I went out to the store, when I first started the car it was quiet, after about 10 minutes when at idle the tapping was back, was thinking that when I first started the car the RPM's were up slightly and it wasn't making noise but when the idle dropped to normal is when I hear the noise...
repaired the last oil leak I had in the car ( oil leaking thru center of distributor, got a new OEM distributor) and couldn't wait to change the oil and try the GC I bought. Thought I had "green" but after checking the date code (M052166) I guess it's the gold, ( Looking at the oil in the bottle...
