I think Alexander is right. Sounds like DSteven needs to stick with the Castrol HM 5w30 since that is what he knows works.

Yes, I have an insight. If you know the 5w30 and 10w30 both pour well down to -53F and the 10w30 protects the engine better, why the **** did you buy the 5w30??? Oh yeah, I forgot....I recommended the 10w30 so you had to do the opposite. You are the most hard headed person I have ever known!
