    5w-40 Rotella T6 in a Turbo Mazda

well I changed it over to the Rotella 5w-40 yesterday. So far so good. Very quiet on start up, but time will tell if it stays that way. I'll try to get a pre change video up today

    5w-40 Rotella T6 in a Turbo Mazda

yeah, this particular motor has never really been loud unless its low really. It's only started getting loud HLA's since I put on the turbo. You guys think the high temps combined with a rich tune are causing it? Obv, I'm running a rich tune on a turbo motor to protect it so I'm sure theres some...

    5w-40 Rotella T6 in a Turbo Mazda

first off, it's been a while since I've been on the forums, so forgive me if there's been any changes or strides that I'm unaware of. To start off, I've always ran 10w-30 M1 on a 3-4k interval. If I extended it further my HLA's would tick very loudly on start up and noticeably louder than...

    Recommend me an oil

it wasn't rebuilt per say. Just new rings. The PO pulled it from a Junkyard and wasn't very satisfied with the compression so he re ringed it and had a valve job done. He pulled it from his car to put a v6 in, I then purchased it and swapped it out for my SOHC. Regardless I decided I might as...

    Recommend me an oil

Well, the Previous owner used it. I changed the oil when I freshened up the engine when I put it in earlier this year. and if theres something better out I'm for using it over M1.

    Recommend me an oil

I found a Super tech filter in the garage so unless its garbage I'll use it. and This engine has only 70k on the rebuild. Never seen anything buy mobil 1, but with all these new oils coming out I figure I should see what else there is to offer. The ultra is $28 at walmart and I've got that...

Got a nail/screw stuck in the tire, leave it in?

i actually have them on my protege, and spirited is a little bit of an understatement to describe my driving. But I've got a whole spare set and some money for new tires when the time comes. the screws are nearly sideways so i really don't want to mess with them.
