Oil for high horsepower Mitsu Evolution

I would recommend Motul 300V 15W50. (Or Redline is also a good choice.) If you race your car on a track, you may want to change the oil before or after every track event. Therefore, if you race your car often, you may end up changing the oil every 1000 miles.

How often to change oil using Supertech 10W30 in a turbo engine?

I don't think you want to add acetone in your fuel tank. I am not a chemical expert, but it is a strong solvent for organic material. I know gasoline is also kind of solvent, but my guess is acetone is stronger. It may not compatible with fuel lines, seals, and gaskets. Also it may solve engine...

    Greddy oil anyone?

I want to try those oils! Anyone has pricing info? Trust (Greddy is one brand of Trust) oils have been available in Asia for a long time, but I only saw some at Autcobacs in Southern California, and they were expensive! I hope they will be priced better now.

How often to change oil using Supertech 10W30 in a turbo engine?

How much boost are you running at your Talon? I have an 03 EVO, and according to my owner's manual Mitsubishi recommends 3750 miles / 4 months OCI for severe condition, and 5000 miles / 5 months OCI for general condition with 100% synthetic 10W30 oil. I saw one member here did UOA of his Mobil...

Valvoline Synpower 10W30 data spec update

I saw some people here claim that Valvoline Synpower has some Group III base. Can group III base have flash point of 250 oC? Mobil1 10W30 has 224 oC flash point and supposed to be full group IV base.

Castrol Syntec 5W20 smells like Motul 300V

I was changing engine oil & filter for 2005 Acura TL last weekends. I never tried Castrol Syntec before (although I tried GTX and GTX HM many times), I wanted to try it this time, so I bought a 5Qt jug. When I was filling the new oil, it smelled similar (but weaker) to Motul 300V (supposed to...

    Mitsubishi MZ690116 w/ pics!

Thank you kanling for the link. It seems Toyota filters have exactly the same design as this Mitsubishi filter. I guess they will work well enough too, because Toyota and Mitsubishi wouldn't use them if they are not working. But I think there are better filters with little extra money, so I...

    Mitsubishi MZ690116 w/ pics!

Hello, I have been reading this great forum for a while, but I guess this is my first new topic. As some of Mitsubishi owners might know already, Mitsubishi followed Honda & Toyota, and reduced their number of oil filters to 2 (as far as I know). Skinny and long one, and Fat and short one...

    Do NOT buy from Autopartsgiant.com

Bad customer service! The customer service guy always sounds irritated, not willing to help at all. Tried to charge shipping for sending back defective items that have never been installed. They even blocked my email that is asking for a return goods number! They may have cheaper price (not by...
