Okay, it should be due for a coolant change then. We don't know who the 1st owner was as we bought it off a CarMax lot. Should we be using a particular brand of coolant such as Motorcraft? I want to make sure the car's cooling system is in good shape before this Florida summer hits us.
I just checked the coolant on my sister's 2006 Ford Mustang 4.0L V6. The fluid looks a little dirty and I can't make out what color it is. The car has 64k on it right now, does anybody know the coolant change interval Ford recommends for this car? also what type of coolant to use and the...

Going on a 6 month oil change interval, I drive it mostly on short trips to school and work. About 142k Miles
It's an 11 year old truck, it's gonna have some wear and tear on it, as long as it runs good and is pretty solid I'd hang on to it. The last somewhat major fix I did on my truck was the water pump in November. Since then it's been trouble free, as a matter of fact I just changed the oil in it...
I agree that you should take it back to the Hyundai dealer and have them take care of this. NO 3 year old car should be leaking oil, I hope they didn't really put a chip in your engine block. I would take it to Hyundai's regional manager for your area if they continue to give you problems.
Sounds like you got everything on that list. I've done most of those things to my Ram. I was happy to hear that the previous owner already replaced the ball joints before I bought it.
The truck in my signature is my first car. I remember the ad on craigslist for $2800, it said "has no heat (I've never needed it here)". I live in florida so most of the time I don't need it either. I changed my oil at work for the first time in December.
you could trying a metal protector on it to help with the rust, at work we sprayed a coat of shaker can primer on some 57 chevy nomad doors in September and they haven't developed anymore rust since then.
so I changed the oil on my dodge truck at work on December 18th, and I checked my oil level today and it is slightly overfilled, no more than 1/4-1/2 a quart over. should I worry? I've been driving it since then everyday and haven't noticed a difference at all. truck holds 5qts
2013, on a BMW 330i at work. since then I've changed oil on a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 351C, a 1968 Chevy Corvette 468ci (at work), as well as the truck in my signature.
Wow, I wouldn't trust walmart with my truck. I bought a 5qt jug and a mopar oil filter for $23 total. I changed it at work for free, It's nice having a lift.
