    That's a good point, the name is deceiving. The technical specs make it clear, and common sense should indicate, the fluid isn't just good for hybrid cars, it'll work in any application for which it meets the spec regardless of power source.

    FWIW, the ones I saw were not in the Automotive section. The store had moved hundreds of filters to a dedicated clearance aisle on the other side of the store. I still don't know if this is a general clearance or not, but they were dumping filters for common still-in-production applications...

    I've seen this at two different local (CT) stores. Not sure if this is related to the parent of Fram filing for bankruptcy or not. I didn't take the time to mine a lot, but I spotted, and bought, two XGA12405 Extra Guard air filters for my Silverado at $5 each.
