Are you sure? AFAIK your MQ500 use G 052 527 which is either 75W or 70W-75 GL-4
MTF (refer to its SDS). 27.6 mm²/s at 40 °C, 6.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, as light as it gets. And
same MTF as MQ350 transmission (GTI, GLI, S3, R etc.).
Not surprising. Double the weight will inevitably cause shifting...

I agree, 3/8" might be the sweet spot for passenger cars.
Another reason would be, since I frequently need to use a 3/8" drive torque wrench
so why wouldn't I use the same sockets? That leads on to a 3/8" drive ratchet.
My favorite is my Stahlwille 435SG-QRN 3/8":
Allright. That said, I agree with Tigeo and EdyVW.
VW calls for G 060 175 for your Haldex clutch, which is a dedicated fluid.
Not sure if you could use its predesesssor G 055 175. Both appear to be
very similar, as some aftermarket fluid cover both VW part numbers.
VW apparently call für G...
The same G 060 175 Haldex fluid like 4WD. While VW call for 36 months, I prefer to swap it every 24 months.
Your VAQ contains ~570 ml of fluid and swapping requires ~400 ml. I use the rest (of 850 ml) to flush the unit. I'd suggest to get new fill and drain plugs, at least every second change...
Several options for the EA888 3G engine. Not sure if a fuel operated Eberspaecher
heated unit would fit an R, since it comes with one or two auxialiary radiators, so
very few space in the engine bay left (less so an issue with Passat, Tiguan and GTI)...
.
If Ford call for WSS-M2C956-A1 for your engine I'd run it without any concerns.
I'd probably do it without this requirement, as long as it calls for 0W-20 . . .
