    Anyone Using Spline Sockets?

    I got a set of the Craftsman ones. I really don't use them to much. I did encounter some rounded brake bleeders. Gave the socket a few light taps with a hammer, and they came right off.

    Which Screw Extractor?

    I've had pretty good luck with the snap on spiral ones. We had to remove several broken fasteners a week. What we did was use a very small carbide ball in a dremel to even the surface of the broken bolt. We then used a tiny dental bit to drill a pilot hole for the screws in the extractor set...

    88 Ford F150 C6 auto trans 160,000 miles out- what I suspect is the factory fill due to the plastic dipstick plug being in the trans pan. in- valvoline maxlife and a few quarts of Supertech high mileage to bring it up to level.

    MIG welding question

    A few things that have helped me, is to grind a shallow line where I'm welding (shows up better than soapstone" I also bought a cheap flashlight and taped a magnet and a cover lens to it.
