Running a good off the shelf 5w40 and changing it more often is the right move. Your short trips will wreck ANY oil. The numbers look good. Hopefully a 5w can keep the same numbers or beat them.

I won't use a universal fluid that includes cvt. Thats like ketchup and mustard in the same bottle to me. Easy answer is get an approved fluid.

Its stamped steel and recessed for ground clearance. Dodge went cheap/fast. Leaves roughly 1/4" of oil pooled.

On my 96 Cummins its a 12qt oil change. More than a pint remains in the injection pump, and the oil pan IS NOT designed to completely drain.

Is your 07 a 6.7l? The late 07.5+ trucks 6 speed auto and factory exhaust brake are a major leap forward in towing performance. Let alone the trq increase from displacement. A 2025 ram 3500 front rotor diameter is 14.17" vs your 13.99. (No real difference, my opinion) Maybe an improvement in...

That is a serious camshaft. What oil did you run in the summer? What is your hot oil pressure at idle and high rpm?

If it was a shortbed, it would sell easy. Look into ebay or bringatrailer.

I wonder if he got a kickback for promoting Pennzoil. His last short clip sure felt that way.
