I could try that. I have a fumoto valve on right now. Not sure if it’s true, but I read somewhere that the fumoto valve sits up slightly higher in the oil pan, allowing for some oil to pool on the bottom even after draining all of the oil. I’m wondering if some debris from break in was trapped...

Yes, that’s correct. What’s pictured was poured out of the oil filter housing. The oil drained straight from the engine looked mostly normal. It had a tiny bit of sparkle, but I think most used oil would show a slight amount of glitter if you took a flashlight to it.

This is the oil from pouring it out of I could take it in for documentation but I would be surprised if they investigated further because the truck shows no symptoms of engine damage as of now

As of now, I’m a little reluctant to go to the dealer with this. My truck has an OTT tune and I don’t want them to find out and use it as an excuse to void my warranty. If my oil still looks like this at 30k, I’ll reflash the stock tune and go to the dealer

Hopefully you are right. I’ve gotten various feedback on my pictures on other forums. Some people are telling me it’s nothing, some believe the engine will go out any day! I’ll keep an eye on it and send another sample next oil change
