It's been terrible, this is the second cancellation due to weather, yet they leave the no parking signs up and I end up parking a block or two away. I just got my magnaflow muffler installed in my 2001 Montero Sport. 2.25" from the muffler exit to a nice chrome tip. I had the shop do a side exit right behind the passenger rear mudflap. I understand your point. What if the engineering that went into designing the airbox was primarily to reduce noise and secondary to make the engine breathe efficiently?

So are all these aftermarket bolt on stuff such as intake tubes and baffled, chambered, perforated straight pipes in the muffler housing just hype unless you actually do some ECU reprogramming and head porting etc.?
