need some car wash soap recommendations?

Look up Superior Products... They make concentrated cleaners, soaps, waxes, etc. for automated car washes but also for hand use... I use their Pink Perfection cut 3 to 1 with water for a prewash soak applied with a spray bottle...or, if using the foam cannon, I'll add in an ounce of their Cherry...

    Piston Clean-Up

Excellent results using the GTX ! ... I'd compliment that with adding 16 oz of MMO to the oil for the last 500 or so miles of each oci to gently clean the engine... I'd also add some to the fuel to help clean it from both sides of the rings... good luck to ya !

    Summer vs winter

You should have no problem going to one grade lower for your winter... Some engines will use oil just because it's a different blend instead of the grade... What I mean is that a 10w 40 or 15w 40 grade shouldn't cause any issues or consumption and it may even be better for your engine... on the...

What is the best 5w-30 for cleaning / keeping an engine clean these days?

The Auto-Rx I used recommended using conventional oil with their product in the cleaning and rinse phase to obtain the best results... ??? I've also had good results using Marvel Mystery Oil with conventional and synthetic oils...

    320K mileage - recommendations?

I would want to "gently" clean a high mileage engine... Marvel Mystery Oil is great for that... replace one quart of oil with the MMO and run for 2,000 to 3,000 miles keeping a regular check on the oil level and topping with motor oil if needed... may need to do this a couple or three times...

    Cartridge Weight Question

In factory loads, 45 would be 230... was originally designed around a 200 grain bullet, which works well when reloading and 185 is used for more velocity... 357 would be 158... the 125 is a faster bullet (with more blast)... so the 158 may feel best and even be more accurate... 110 is also...

    Glock Owner..........Again!

Good deal... I have a Gen 3 G21 (SF) too... I thought of selling it after I got a G41 but just haven't been able to let it go. To check the recoil spring, first make sure the pistol is clean and properly lubricated, then take the UNLOADED pistol with no magazine and pull the trigger and hold it...

I may need to try some butter wax... but, like Malo83 posted, the Griot's Best of Show spray wax has been doing my show car a good job...

    Old fuel in stored vehicle?

Not knowing whether the vehicle requires higher octane or not, I recommended premium fuel to bring up the octane level of whatever is in the tank now as it's evidently old and may have degraded... especially if he's going to drive it out... and in the follow up tank due to some premium fuels...

    Old fuel in stored vehicle?

If it runs fine now, just fill it with premium fuel, add a cleaner (I prefer Marvel Mystery Oil) and drive it out ... that is, if you can use up the whole tank in the next month... if you can't drive it out in the next month, then consider siphoning out most of the fuel that's in it now and then...

    The thin grease for firearms

What JohnG said... Except I mix the STP with motor oil... many years ago I bought a tube of STP, yes a 4 oz. squeeze tube... and still using it ! I add a bit of it to whatever synthetic motor oil I have in an old small 20 ml clp bottle til I get the right viscosity... works great... and I have...

    Rotated tires the wrong way?

Nah... You're good to go, just keep the tire pressure checked and keep rotating the same way from now on.

What is Marvel Mystery Oil ?

I'm a fan of MMO... I've used it with positive results keeping my engines clean and in my fuel to keep things clean. My S&S carbed 97 Harley is still running smooth after all these years... as are my seldom driven vehicles and lawn mower. I like running it in the fuel especially in cold weather...

    Tub Advice

I'd prefer the metal tub as well... but, the other is a bit taller and wider per specs... I like a wide tub especially if it will be used as a shower also... I'd see if Lowe's has an American Standard or something else that is a bit wider.

    Going to try longer OCI.

Should be fine... my step daughter has the same car and before she married, she would usually drive about 10,000 miles every 8 months on Mobil 5w20 EP or 0w30 (best results) ... now that she's married and doesn't drive near as much, she just has it changed at the Wal-Mart in her city with QS...
