I always notch the covers and sungears and block 3-4 acc./remove piston. Mine's a daily driver, the tcc valve should be here Tuesday, so I'll order the Sonnax 2-3, maybe 1-2 valve and spacer later.
So far I've it built with:

They don't make a vb that functions like this, and apparently they shouldn't.
I didn't think about the downshifting issues, that overrun mod has downshifting issues too. I'm crossing those off my list, I just have to remember to put it down to L1 if I want to do something stupid, rare these...

On Ls1tech.com (a lot of TLDR lol), Frank claims to have a way to apply L/R in First in any range, but won't say how it's done.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it seems like the 3-2 control gives a softer downshift but doesn't help the 3-4 clutch life and the engineers didn't figure it...
It's fubar, every bore needs to be reamed. I can get a local core, but I have a 96 vb. in great shape, trying to be budget friendly when possible. Customs and brokerage charges have gone up so much that I'm up to a grand just soft parts, 3 solenoids and atf+6 (local).
