the Ford 4.6 is not know for being an oil burner. I would spend 5 dollars and replace the PCV valve on the passangers side valve cover first. This is a very well known issue. I bet that is your issue.
Without going Motorcraft, what is the closest / most chemically similar or exactly the same as Ford orange coolant, pre-diluted, available at walmart, least expensive option without going yellow, thanks.

No, unfortunately it did not. I have also experimented with different oils from 5w20 - 15w40, now at 52k miles and nothing I have tried makes a difference.
