I have a 1981 280zx turbo with 28k miles on it. I just replaced the original turbo with a rebuilt unit including new turbo gaskets and oil hose. I have also replaced the oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket and oil pump. The oil pan was clean, no sludge whatsoever after 40 years. My question is...

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm thinking a HM synthetic is the way to go. Here are some pics as requested. The hood was painted but everything else looks to be all original. Garaged its whole life.

I just purchased a low mileage time capsule 280ZX turbo and am wondering if I should use synthetic in it or am I asking for trouble with the original gaskets and seals? The car has only 22,000 miles on it and has no leaks from what I can see. Thanks in advance for all thoughts and opinions.
