You ain't lying. I forgot to tighten my drain plug with the wrench and it fell out along with all my oil during a 10 mile trip. I've been changing oil for over 30yrs and I've never done such a stupid thing. Got it to the dealer and they added 5qts of Pennz full synth 5w30 and got most of the oil...
This thread is making me wonder if I should add MMO to my GDI engine to see if it lessens the 2qts of oil burn I have every 5k miles. If so I normally use 5W30 so what grade would be recommended with the MMO? I mostly do 2/3 spirited city driving with 1/3 freeway driving.
Ok guys I haven't forgotten this thread so here's a update finally. The engine is still running strong as I just replaced the faulty oil temp sensor yesterday that was cutting engine power and here's a picture showing my 2 past oil reports using engine restore since I last posted here. I changed...
Thanks for all the help. I'll research and try something recommended. Btw I installed new properly gapped plugs last year and I had oil burn with SAE 30 beforehand hence the switch which I forgot to include was 10w40.

With all the problems I've had with a commercial grade Landpride zero turn I...
My mower is 10yrs old with a 4 Stroke Vtwin 20hp+ engine that has had dino SAE 30 oil the majority of it's life. I switched to full synth oil a couple years ago and added Seafoam in the oil and fuel since the pistons look caked with deposits when I removed the plugs. What oil additive would you...
I got Engine Restorer yesterday. Is only a few bucks even without the $2 rebate so is worth a shot. They sell 2 cans for $13 at Autozone right now for members. Will post UOA update in a few months.

Could be Greg and I'm considering that as well. I forgot to mention that in the 1st oil change at 500 miles after the engine install with dino oil in it I found a couple of 1" long silver colored non ferrous metal hair like pieces in the oil filter but I didn't find any pieces in the 2nd oil...
